“ Watch out, look out! Chill dining ahead! Looking for a unique place to dine for lunch and you find yourself in the Mesa Falcon district? Head over to Board & Batten for a delicious treat! I have been in the area several times and when I crave a chill, relaxed dining experience, B&B is a must. Ok, take chill with a grain of salt as during the winter it gets packed! That being said the staff is great and does their absolute best to take care of the customers. The food is awesome! I like the way B&B rotated menu items to make sure they offer the freshest options. It may be a little higher on the lunch budget, but IMO worth the splurge every once in a while. ”

“ I kept hearing about Board and Batten and the raving reviews so decided to give it a try. Booking service was easy however when we arrived the waitstaff couldn't find our booking. We were patient and gave the details again. She didn't make a great first impression with her tone and facial expressions which was strange because it was in her error. Thankfully, another waitstaff came along quickly and found our reservation straight away with a beaming smile. She helped us to our seat and wished us a great first time experience. Our waiter for the night was awesome. He gave us a run down on the menu and offered us the details on most ordered/rated menu items. We got two steaks, potatoes for the side and lava chocolate cake. Everything turned out perfectly! Our favorite was the potatoes - we're still talking about them! The ambience is different inside and outside of the restaurant. We were inside this time and didn't feel it was anything special. We'll try outside next time. Overall, a wonderful first time! ”

“ Absolutely gorgeous restaurant!! The property was beautiful upon driving up. My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary here and had a great time. The food was absolutely delicious. We had one hiccup with a dish we received but our server was happy to accommodate. We will 100% be back and recommending to friends and family! ”

“ Tucked away in north Mesa, Board and Batten provided a unique dining experience. Make reservations for dinner. The place offers a seasonal menu. We got there early and had drinks at the bar. Large drink menu to choose from. I highly recommend saving room for dessert!! The inside boasts contemporary white farm house style with seating both inside and outside. There is a venue space next door which can make for a louder environment experience if you sit outside. Great service and quality food and dining experience. Highly recommend. Not sure it's kid friendly for dinner. Would be interested in trying out lunch here sometime soon. ”

“ Was here for an official event, was able to reserve a large table. I ordered the swordfish entree, the fish by itself was quite good, well cooked and flavorful. But the melted tomato, was different from what I imagined it to be. We ordered the bacon wrapped dates and the daily crudo for the table. I felt both were quite unique and I really liked both of them, definitely recommend trying both these appetizers. Desserts were also a must try, I wish the salted caramel bar also came with ice cream and it would compliment it really well according to me. The warm date was really good as well. The server was really good. He was really organized and provided us with great recommendations. They had both indoor and outdoor seating. The place by itself is kinda hidden and easy to miss but once you get on the right road and drive in. You'll see a really nice building with some greenery and patio seating. ”

“ It's been a couple of years since I've been here, and the menu is a bit more upscale, and the dishes were definitely elevated! We started with the Mushroom Crespelle, like a small crepe, it was filled with delicious, homemade ricotta, cheese, and topped with savory mushrooms, burnt honey and rosemary. I got a beautiful gnocchi with summer squash and broccolini. Hubby got a tender and tasty skirt steak. Be sure to taste the rotating wine selection, they are always trying new wines to add to their list. They have wine flights now too. Very proud to have this gem in north east Mesa! ”

“ This is, in my opinion, the best restaurant in Mesa. We love coming here for date night, and we live that the menu changes often so that we always get the best good. There is a large patio surrounded on one side by large shade trees with tables, a couple of sofas, and long fire pit tables. It's gorgeous at night with the string lights lit up. It's a really pretty and romantic setting. The servers are too notch and aim to please. They really please and they succeed. The food is always fantastic. We started with the olive and feta served with noble bread. For entrees, I got the short rib ravioli and hubby got the pork chop. They were absolutely delicious - - perfection! We didn't order dessert this time, but I have had the salted caramel bar, and it is a little piece of heaven! The cocktails are crafted perfectly and there's always a great choice of wine and beer. There is nothing not to absolutely love about this place! ”
